KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) -- Police in Nepal say an avalanche has swept away climbers on a Himalayan peak, killing a German and a Nepalese and leaving 13 others missing.
Police official Basanta Bahadur Kuwar says the avalanche swept down Mount Manaslu in northern Nepal on Sunday.
He says a German man and a Nepalese guide were killed. The 13 missing included Germans, French and Nepalese. He says 10 others on the team were able to survive.
