BEIRUT (AP) -- A spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Damascus says seven of the group's workers have been kidnapped in northern Syria.
Simon Schorno says gunmen abducted the team near the town of Saraqeb in Idlib province around 11:30 a.m. (0830 GMT) Sunday.
He says six of the people kidnapped are ICRC staff workers and one is a volunteer from the Syrian Red Crescent.
Schorno declined to provide the nationalities of the six ICRC employees.
