PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (AP) -- The car of a man who went missing nearly 27 years ago has been pulled from a southwest Florida canal.
The News-Press reports that Charlotte County workers pulled Terrance Paul Beghin's 1982 white Chevrolet Corvette from a Punta Gorda canal Thursday morning.
Beghin was 26 when he went missing in November 1986.
Witnesses said at the time Beghin was slightly depressed and uncharacteristically reckless when he left home to go for a drive. He also appeared to be drunk despite the fact he was diabetic.
