MIAMI, Fla. - — Police say a teenager has died after being shot while helping his mother renovate a restaurant in Miami's Liberty City neighborhood.
Authorities say 41-year-old Lutricia Allen remained in serious condition Monday. Her son, Raul Patridge, was helping her with renovations at Veta's Restaurant on Sunday when a gunman stormed in and opened fire.
The Miami Herald (http://bit.ly/o2narB ) reports it was the second deadly shooting in Liberty City over the Labor Day weekend.
Miami-Dade police say 26-year-old Antonio Jackson and 37-year-old Frantz Lahens were killed Saturday when a gunman opened fire in the Frontier Lounge. Four people were injured.
Investigators do not believe the incidents are related.
