POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - Deputies are searching for a man who made a quick change and a quick getaway after a robbery at a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Pompano Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Surveillance video shows the suspect walking into the KFC at 341 W. Atlantic Blvd. on Feb. 17. He was dressed in blue pants, a striped blue and white polo shirt and a baseball cap. He went straight into the bathroom and walked out wearing blue pants and a white T-shirt and no cap or polo shirt.
The suspect ordered a drink and stood at the counter while the next person in line placed an order. Once the register opened, he jumped over the counter, grabbed the cash and ran out the door. The other patron tried to chase after the suspect without success, investigators said.
The suspect stands about 5 feet 6 and weighs about 200 pounds.
Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact Det. Steven Hoover at 954-321-4270 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
