Detectives say someone escorted Marco from his paddock on Aug. 18, then drove him to a secluded spot to butcher him.

The reward is now $2,000 for information leading up to the arrest of the people responsible for the removal and death of a horse named Marco on Aug. 17 or 18 at 5345 SW 210th Terrace.
Crime Stoppers will pay $1,000 and an anonymous donor doubled the reward by offering an additional $1,000. The reward expires Oct. 5, 2013.
The horse was removed from the barn and was later found dead at 5100 SW 210th Terrace.
Authorities ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
