PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (AP) -- No major injuries have been reported after a small plane crashed through a fence before takeoff in Broward County.
Authorities say the single-engine plane crashed Saturday morning when the plane failed to take off, going into the grass and a fence at North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines.
A passenger is being treated at the hospital with minor injuries. The pilot was not injured.
Their identities have not been released.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
The airport is a private airfield that stretches 536 acres and houses about 300 aircraft, aviation training schools, helipads and control towers.
