TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - One week after his election, Gov.-elect Rick Scott is coming to the Capitol.
Gov. Charlie Crist said he'll meet with his successor Tuesday to discuss the transition to a new Republican administration.
Crist, who was defeated last week in his independent bid for a U.S. Senate seat, said he remains unsure about his future plans after leaving office in early January. He said he is looking forward to a private life.
Crist said Scott — like former Gov. Jeb Bush — comes into the governor's office without any previous experience in an elected role. But, the current governor added, Bush fared successfully and Crist expects Scott to do the same.
