Pregnant cow rescued from drainage canal in Homestead, fell five feet into ditch

HOMESTEAD, Fla. -- A pregnant cow in Homestead found herself in a tricky situation.

Rescuers say the expectant bovine got out of her containment area, wandered across the street and fell five feet into a drainage ditch.

The cow's owner tried to keep her calm as firefighters brought in some heavy equipment to hoist her out.

A veterinarian also checked her out and said she will be just fine.
