POLK COUNTY, Fla. - Here's a message to criminals from a sheriff in Florida: wearing baggy pants could land you in handcuffs.

Security camera footage taken from a convenience store in Polk County shows Juan Gutierrez entering a shop intent on stealing some beer, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

But as Gutierrez attempts to exit the E-Z Food store and run back to his vehicle, he is seen tripping over his baggy jeans.

Detectives say his pants fell down and he hit the ground, sending the beer flying.

Gutierrez picked himself up and got back in his getaway car. But deputies caught up and arrested him on petty theft charges, as well as the driver who was waiting for Gutierrez during the incident.
