FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Police say a Florida man fatally shot his ex-girlfriend and her adult daughter and then led police on a high-speed chase.
During the pursuit, 48-year-old Antonio Feliu crashed into another car, and the driver was ejected from it and killed.
Authorities said Feliu killed 51-year-old Vivian Gallego Martinez and her daughter, 28-year-old Anabel Benitez, at a Miami home on Wednesday and fled.
Officers called in a description of his vehicle and a police helicopter followed Feliu's sport utility vehicle into rural southwestern Broward County. That's where he crashed into 48-year-old Maritza Medina's car, killing her.
As deputies approached Feliu's SUV, they heard a gunshot. Authorities later discovered that Feliu killed himself.
Miami-Dade County police said Thursday that 43 live marijuana plants were found Feliu's home. Investigators say there was a hydroponic growing lab in the house. The plants are valued at over $107,000.
