COCONUT CREEK, Fla. -- Coconut Creek Police and Broward County Crimestoppers are circulating a composite sketch and surveillance picture of a suspected carjacker with the hope someone will recognize and report him.
The armed carjacking occurred around 10 p.m. on Labor Day along the 4700 block of Winston Park Boulevard in Coconut Creek.
The suspect approached the victim, pulled a gun and drove off in the victim's 2012 gray Dodge Durango SUV with Florida tag number 691-HRW, according to the police report.
The carjacker is described as being between 25 and 35 years old, about 5-foot-7, weighing about 140 pounds, with dark curly hair, scruffy and unshaven, wearing a red hoodie.
Investigators are urging anyone with information about the carjacker to anonymously contact Broward Crimestoppers at 954-493-8477 or browardcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters could be eligible for a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
