Enraged after discovering dog poop on her doorstep weeks ago, a Stuart woman was arrested following accusations she used an umbrella to hit another woman walking her dogs.
Josephine Frazia, 61, told Martin County Sheriff's deputies June 13 she started to follow a 28-year-old woman who was walking her dogs.
Frazia wanted to make sure the woman cleaned up any canine (deposits), and also wanted to see her leave the area, recently released sheriff's records state.
The 28-year-old woman said she and her pooches were on Southeast Windsong Lane and that Frazia followed her. The 28-year-old woman said she discarded some dog doo as Frazia stood close and watched.
As she walked past Frazia, she said hello.
Frazia, the woman said, said she didn't talk to strangers and didn't like her "(expletive) dogs." Frazia then is accused of hitting the woman in the forearm with an umbrella.
Frazia told a deputy she had to clean dog dung from her doorstep weeks ago and wasn't happy about it. The report didn't state whether the canine ordure in question was malodorous, nor was a size estimate listed.
When Frazia noticed the woman walking her dogs, she started to follow to ensure the woman picked up any pooch poop.
"Frazia further stated she does not like dogs because they (void their bowels) on her front door step, and she does not like people who own dogs," a report states.
She said she "tapped" the woman with her umbrella, saying "she was in a fight against people who owned dogs."
Frazia, who said she wasn't taking any medication, said she didn't mind getting arrested because she had to prove her point.
Frazia, of the 6000 block of Southeast Windsong Lane in Stuart, was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge.
