MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - A South Florida diver claims to have captured a monster lobster.

Max Ramos says he was spear fishing in about 45 feet of water off of South Beach when he saw the huge crustacean.

He says it took him about 40 minutes to lure him out of his hole where he may have been stuck.

Ramos says when he realized how big the lobster was, there was no way he could capture it with the net he had.

Ramos says he decided to grab hold of the antennas then the tail. He says that excited the lobster who went 'ballistic.'

Ramos claims he then wrapped his arms around the beast and shot to the surface with one that didn't get away.

The lobster measured more than 2 feet in length.
