MIAMI (AP) - A Miami man has been cited with three misdemeanors for illegally selling snakes on Craigslist.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission began investigating 20-year-old Miguel Ruitort after receiving a tip he was selling the reptiles online without the proper licenses.
An undercover wildlife officer purchased two pythons from him Friday. Authorities say Ruitort told them he didn't have the licenses to sell the reptiles.
Ruitort faces three misdemeanors including selling wildlife without a license, possessing reptiles of concern without a license, and selling reptiles of concern to an unlicensed person.
There was no telephone number listed for Ruitort.
