Lindsay Lohan's father Michael Lohan picked up, charged with domestic violence battery in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa Police have confirmed officers picked up Michael Lohan for a domestic violence battery charge early Tuesday morning.

Lieutenant Lee with TPD says around 1:10 a.m. officers responded to the 2000 block of Lemans Drive. Officers located the alleged suspect Michael Lohan and placed him under arrest.

Lohan told officers that he had a medical condition and needed to go to the hospital. Officers transported Lohan to St. Joseph's in Tampa where he is being treated for an unknown condition, according to TPD.

Lieutenant Lee says they plan to direct file the charges with the State Attorney's office in Hillsborough County. It will be up to the State to decide rather or not to charge Michael Lohan.
