PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (AP) -- Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 49-year-old woman on drug charges after she allegedly hid three rocks of crack cocaine under her dentures.

According to a news release, officers made a traffic stop Saturday after observing a pickup truck leave a known drug house.

Officers say the passenger in the vehicle, Kimberly Maroney, appeared to be moving something around with her tongue inside her mouth.

When an officer asked her to open her mouth, he noticed that she had upper and lower dentures. He asked her to remove the dentures and the deputy spotted three large pieces of crack cocaine in her mouth.

Maroney was arrested on drug possession charges and later posted a $3,500 bond. It's unclear whether she's retained an attorney.
