A Lauderhill man allegedly bit and nearly severed his wife's ear during an argument early Sunday in a parking garage at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
It was Nadine Bruce's 29th birthday and the 6 a.m. ear-biting incident earned Kevon Stewart, her husband of two years, a felony domestic battery charge. His bond was set at $12,500 in first-appearance court Monday morning.
The couple was fighting in a Chevy Malibu on the fourth floor of the Lucky Street parking garage when a security officer told them to leave. Stewart, 25, put his wife in a headlock and when they disengaged; her ear was bloodied and hanging down, said Gary Bitner, a spokesman for the Seminole Tribe.
Bruce was treated by Seminole Fire Rescue and advised that she would need stitches for her injury, Bitner said. She was transported to Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines.
