MIAMI, Fla. -- Flipping the bird and cursing have become common trends recently in Miami-Dade courtrooms.
First, 18-year-old Penelope Soto flipped off Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat during a bond hearing. A few weeks later, 53-year-old Blanca Gemma Regalado appeared before the same judge and flipped her lid .
On Wednesday, Jodel Leveille had his own episode.
The 24-year-old, who was facing a battery charge, cursed out Miami-Dade Judge Ellen Sue Venzer in a second court appearance, hours after he gave a profanity-filled tirade in his first appearance in bond court.
According to NBC Miami , Judge Venzer increased Leveille's bond by $5,500, to $17,000, and kept her cool when he repeatedly cursed her out, gave her the middle finger and grabbed his crotch during his initial bond court appearance.
Leveille faces charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief, NBC Miami reports .
"F--- you judge," Leveille can be heard yelling, before telling Venzer to die.
Venzer asked Leveille to calm down but he didn't listen.
