A Pompano Beach teen is set to be released from the hospital today after surviving a horrifying accident.
14-year-old Jerry Cunningham missed his bus by just seconds.
But, in the process, he got his hand stuck in the vehicle's doors.
He was dragged and run over.
Nearly every bone in Cunningham's body was broken.
Doctors only gave him a 50% chance of survival.
"I always say my son is a miracle because he's alive and nobody knows how," said his father Jerry Cunningham, Sr.
Cunningham must still undergo several months of rehab.
The driver of the bus was demoted and no longer behind the wheel.
