A deputy with the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Jason Forgey, spends some of his off-duty time hunting alligators.
He and his friends came across a massive gator in Seminole County, Florida, last month.
They were out on the water for hours.
Forgey says it took two encounters to catch the alligator.
When Forgey and his friends finally captured it, they took some pretty amazing pictures.
The alligator is 13-feet long and weighs 7-hundred-37 pounds.
"It was different from all the other hunts, just 'cause he was the largest one I've ever caught,” Forgey said. "They do need to be regulated. They do need to be harvest -- no different than any other animal there is out there.”
Forgey and his friends caught the gator along the Econlockhatchee River in Seminole County.
