WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Dozens of flights have been canceled at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport, as Tropical Storm Isaac bears down on South Florida.
Among the airlines canceling flights in Fort Lauderdale are Avianca, United Express, Southwest, Air Tran, American. Included are flights on Sunday and Monday, airport spokesman Gregory Meyer said Saturday evening.
Avianca canceled flights to Bogota. United Express has canceled flights to Key West on Sunday and Monday. Southwest has canceled 36 arrivals and 28 departures on Sunday. American has canceled nine arrivals and six departures on Sunday.
At Palm Beach International Airport, flights have been canceled by American Airlines, Air Tran, IBC Airlines and Southwest Airlines, the airport announced Saturday night. All other airlines report normal operations. Passengers are urged to check with their airlines about flights Sunday and Monday.
