ORLANDO, Fla. - A car of burglary suspects led police on a 40 minute chase through the streets of Orlando Wednesday.

It ended in a dramatic crash.

The car smashed into the side of a Jeep at a busy intersection. Two other vehicles were also struck.

A news helicopter was recording the scene and showed the driver of the suspects' car get out and fall on the ground.

The suspects both had serious leg injuries from the crash but are expected to survive.

The driver of the Jeep is expected to recover. Wesh.com reports six people in all suffered injuries. One person was a trauma alert. A second refused treatment. The remaining four were transported to a hospital.

Police say it all started when two men allegedly kicked down the door of a home intending to steal. Instead, they were spooked by the homeowner.  Their identities have not been released.

Wesh.com also reports that two dogs were seen running from the scene. They were recovered and reunited with their owners.
