JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- A 17-year-old from Jacksonville faces several charges following his arrest for bringing a loaded gun into a movie theater on Christmas night.
The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/YohcM3 ) reported Friday that an off-duty officer working security at the AMC movie theater at the Orange Park Mall spotted the teen when he went into a theater through an exit.
When the teen couldn't produce a ticket, the officer told him to leave and not to return. According to a sheriff's report, the teen wouldn't leave. Then he tried to get away but the office handcuffed him. The teen told the officer he had a gun in his waistband.
He's charged with carrying a concealed firearm, resisting arrest and trespassing. He's also charged for three active warrants for failure to appear in court.
