WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A Florida woman claims ex-neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman molested her when she was a child.

The unidentified woman told investigators in an interview released Monday the abuse began when she was 6 and Zimmerman was about 8. She says she was fondled, groped and kissed numerous times until she was about 16.

She says they would see each other at family gatherings, but their relationship was not clear.

Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara, did not respond to a request for comment.

Police and prosecutors did not return telephone calls about whether they plan to use the interview at trial or pursue charges.

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin. He claims self-defense.
