In the hopes of turning up leads, police Tuesday released surveillance images of the man who robbed the Marina Discount Beverage store, 2705 SW 15 Ave., shortly before 9:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3.
According to police, the fully disguised man went into the store brandishing a black handgun and ordered the clerk to open the cash register and then lay down on the floor. The clerk complied and the gunman grabbed cash from the register and then fled.
The robber was wearing black shorts, a black long-sleeve t-shirt, black sneakers and a black t-shirt draped across most of his face.
Police urge anyone with information about this case or the gunman's identity to contact Fort Lauderdale Police Detective Orlando Almanzar at 954-828-5546. Information about crimes can also be reported anonymously to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
