FLORIDA--The state will receive $395,000 from a nationwide settlement with Google, over its collection of personal information from unsecured wireless networks.
Google revealed that antenna-equipped company cars taking on-the-street photographs for its Street View service in Google Maps also collected personal information online from 2008-2010.
That may have included addresses of viewed Web pages and full or partial emails.
Google has also agreed to train employees about privacy and confidentiality for the next ten years.
Florida is one of 38 states that took part in the settlement.
Google has not admitted to any wrong-doing.
