PORT ORANGE, Fla. - A man in Port Orange, Florida faces several charges after he crashed a truck into a police cruiser and then led officers on a high-speed chase in August.

Kenneth Monte, 42, faces several felonies, according to the Orlando Sentinel, including aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated battery, aggravated fleeing and eluding and driving under the influence with property damage.

Officers said they tried to stop Monte, but he put his pickup truck in reverse and hit a police cruiser.

Monte then fled, hitting several cars.

At one point Monte turned his truck around and chased the squad car.

Officers said his car rear-ended the cruiser, injuring the officer inside.

Eventually after hitting a curb, Monte's truck went airborne and landed upside-down.

Officers pulled him out of the vehicle and took him into custody.
