— A Florida couple will meet with China's future president during his visit to the United States.

The Tampa Tribune (http://bit.ly/AwnGFD ) reports Thomas and Eleanor Dvorchak hosted Xi Jinping at their home in Iowa 27 years ago when he traveled there as part of a Chinese agricultural delegation.

The couple's son had just left for college, and Xi stayed in his Star Trek decorated bedroom for three nights. At the time he was a midlevel bureaucrat and visited Iowa farms.

Now Xi is China's vice president and will take over the presidency next year. He will be in the United States to meet with President Barak Obama and other leaders.

He will also stop Wednesday in Muscatine, Iowa, where the Dvorchaks are traveling for a reunion.
