Deland - Police in Central Florida are on a pricey snake hunt.

Somebody broke into a pet store in Deland and made off with nearly $30,000 worth of exotic snakes.

Seven pythons and one boa were reported missing, and five of the slithery creatures were pregnant.

The owner of the store is not sure whether the snakes were stolen or set loose, but police did review surveillance video. They said they did not see anything definitive that would lead them to a suspect.

The incident is still under investigation.
