KEY WEST, Fla. - A 64-year-old man from West Palm Beach died while he was snorkeling off the coast of Key West Saturday.
According to Becky Herrin, Public Information Officer for the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Eugene Porter was snorkeling on board a commercial vessel operated by Fury Water Adventures when the incident occurred.
The details of the events leading up to his death remain unclear at this time.
Porter was brought into the seaport before being transported by paramedics to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
We are waiting for the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
