COLLIER COUNTY, Fla - Some turtles removed from the Gulf Coast have been released into the waters off southwest Florida.

Six Kemp's Ridleys were released off Calusa Island Monday after being moved to Orlando from their original rehab facility in Mississippi.

These endangered turtles were moved to make space for oiled turtles.

The turtles released were not impacted by the Gulf spill.
