Authorities released dashcam video of a deputy getting dragged by a moving vehicle in Seminole County, Florida.

They say a shoplifting suspect attacked the deputy when he was trying to arrest him.

It all started at a grocery store, where the suspect allegedly shoplifted two lipstick tubes and a pair of sunglasses.

Here's where things get crazy.

A deputy pulled him over in his neighborhood and questioned him.

When he tried to put him in handcuffs, the suspect jumped in his car and stepped on the gas, dragging the deputy about 20 feet down the street.

Police said he then drove to his house, where he hid in the attic.

He was arrested after he fell through the floor of his attic, into the garage.

The deputy was taken to the hospital with a head injury, but is OK. He was treated and put back on light duty Thursday.
