DELAND, (AP) -- Police in central Florida say a skydiver died when his parachute failed to deploy.
Sgt. Chris Estes told the Daytona Beach News-Journal a witness saw the man fall about 5 p.m. Wednesday at Skydive DeLand.
Estes says it appears he was trying to deploy a reserve shoot but didn't have enough time.
The man is believed to be in his 60s. He's not been identified.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the incident.
