FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- A South Florida woman says a man who kidnapped her, his 1-month-old son, the baby's mother and another adult male wanted to "make the news."
Marissa Murray of North Lauderdale tells the Sun Sentinel that Janus Saintil forced her at gunpoint Thursday to drive the group to Port St. Lucie.
Murray says Saintil was angry about a text message he had received from the baby's mother, who wanted to break up with him for good.
Authorities say Saintil returned to Broward County with the baby. After Saintil parked a car Friday next to a police officer, the baby's body was found in the trunk.
Saintil is being held without bond on charges of murder, carjacking with a firearm or weapon, kidnapping and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
