MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- The Coast Guard says its crews intercepted roughly 3,000 pounds of marijuana and cocaine in the waters off Colombia.
The drugs were offloaded Friday morning at the Coast Guard base in Miami Beach.
Officials say the drugs are worth roughly $16 million.
According to the Coast Guard, the drugs were recovered in two separate interdictions off San Andres Island, Colombia. Four people were detained.
The interdictions were carried out as part of an international operation sharing information and equipment to counter drug trafficking in Central America.
