HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Police pursued a vehicle through the streets of Miami Wednesday morning.
The SUV, a blue Ford Expedition, was wanted in connection with a suspected armed robbery according to Fox News.
After eluding police on city streets, the driver entered I-95 and began traveling northbound toward Fort Lauderdale.
Other drivers had to scramble to get out of the way.
Speeds reached 90 mph according to WSVN.
At one point police had stopped the driver and tried to get him out of the vehicle at gunpoint.
The chase came to an abrupt end when the vehicle crashed into the back of an 18 wheeler near Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
The driver ended up climbing out of the window after the collision. Police surrounded him and took him into custody.
He was seen limping heavily as police put him into a police vehicle. The driver of the tanker did not appear to be injured.
The chase covered about 15-17 miles.
