The Broward Sheriff's office received a call at 8:45am today alerting them of a residential burglary in progress at 3951 NW 45 Terrace in Lauderdale Lakes.
Responding deputies saw the suspect's black Mazda leaving the scene, according to BSO Public Information officer Keyla Concepcion.
The deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect fled.
A short distance away, the suspect rammed a deputies car into a pole and continued fleeing.
Officers finally brought the suspect's vehicle to a stop using the P.I.T. maneuver traveling northbound on I-95 at Palmetto Parkway.
The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended by K-9.
He has been identified as Julio Requena.
Boca Raton Fire Rescue transported the suspect to Boca Medical Center.
