Bramlage family Lake Wales, Florida plane crash: Body of Boston Bramlage found

LAKE WALES, Fla. - Florida officials said they found the body of Boston Bramlage on Friday.

Boston, 13, was the last member of the Bramlage family to be recovered after their plane crashed near Tampa on Thursday.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said it appeared a part of one of the wings snapped off while the plane was in midair, creating a hole.

Boston was thrown from the plane before it crashed. He was found less than half a mile from the crash site.

More than 100 people searched thousands of rural, wooded acres to recover Boston's body. Judd said that there was no plane debris in the area where he was recovered.

Officials plan to move the main fuselage of the plane from the scene on Saturday.

Ron Bramlage, Boston's father, was piloting the aircraft when it ripped apart in midair. His wife Becky and their other three children, Brandon, Beau and Roxanne, were also on the plane and died in the crash.

They were flying home from a family vacation in the Bahamas.

Officials said other family members from Junction City are now in Florida.

The Bramlages leave behind a legacy of philanthropy. They were mourned in their home of Junction City, Kan., Thursday night.

Ron is the grandson of Fred Bramlage - the namesake for Bramlage Coliseum at Kansas State University.

Becky, originally from Olathe, Kan., was president of the Junction City Board of Education.

The school district said they will have grief counselors available for anyone in the community at Lincoln Elementary, the Freshman Success Academy and Junction City Middle School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
