(WTLV) A man working around a retention pond in Jacksonville nearly drowned Wednesday morning.
The man was pinned underneath the lawnmower underwater for an unknown amount to time.
Coincidentally, a good Samaritan, Bobby Bryant, was driving by on his way to work, saw what was happening and stopped to help.
Bryant jumped in the water, attempting to lift the mower but realized it was too heavy. He then yelled for help, and more witnesses including the man's co-workers went to assist in the man's recovery.
