COCONUT CREEK, Fla.-- Tellers might have thought the man wearing sloppy bandages around his head was a day late for Halloween, but the FBI is calling him a bank robber instead of a tardy trick-or-treater.
The man who had his forehead, one ear and one eye wrapped with what appeared to be gauze robbed the Bank of America branch at 6650 State Road 7 in Coconut Creek shortly before 10:45 a.m. Thursday, the FBI said.
Along with the bandages, the man wore a dark-colored long-sleeve dress shirt with a unmade striped tie hanging around an open collar.
He demanded and received money from a bank employee. The FBI declined to disclose the amount.
There were no injuries during the incident.
The FBI asks anyone with information about the robber's identity to call the agency at 305-944-9101 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or toll-free at 866-493-8477.
