NORTH MIAMI, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement canceled an Amber Alert for 5-year-old Jayda Destiny Velazquez.

Velazquez was found safely in an apartment in the area of 100 and 18 th streets, west of Biscayne Boulevard around 1:00 p.m. Sunday, according to Major Neal Cuevas of the North Miami Police Department.

Velazquez  was reunited with her mother shortly after.

The suspect, Kimberly Burgos Lopez, will be charged with several counts related to kidnapping, Cuevas said.
