PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - Charlotte County deputies say a Riverview man accused of putting a camera inside a Starbucks restroom was found dead inside a Punta Gorda hotel room.

Eric Arthur Efaw was found inside the room Sunday morning. According to deputies foul play is not suspected but a death investigation is ongoing.

Efaw was arrested June 8 on one count of video voyeurism. He was released less than 12 hours later on $10,000 bond.

Hillsborough County Deputies say Efaw he was recording people inside Starbucks' restroom at Brandon Town Center.

A manager at Starbucks contacted deputies May 31 after she found and removed a device that had been attached to a pipe from underneath the sink in the unisex bathroom.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says Efaw admitted to placing the camera in the restroom and stated he had previously done so approximately 6 to 7 times in the past two months. He stated he would place the camera in the restroom and then retrieve it later.

Detectives were able to catch Efaw after reviewing images from the camera that positively identified the suspect. Apparently, the camera was still recording as he walked to his car and opened his trunk. The images clearly showed his license plate.
