SIESTA KEY, Fla. - Where did a life-size Legoman, which washed up on Siesta Key beach, come from?
That's the question people in Sarasota County are asking.
Jeff Hindman found it while walking on the beach Tuesday morning. It was red, yellow and green and, Hindman said, was about eight-feet tall.
The figure apparently surfed ashore overnight. Its shirt read "NO REAL THAN YOU ARE."
No word if this was part of a publicity stunt by the Legoland theme park in Winter Haven, which opened earlier this month. We called its media relations department and left a message asking them to call us back.
Deputies removed Legoman from the beach. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said it was keeping him "in protective custody in the hopes that his rightful owners come forward."
