ORLANDO, Fla. - ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a house fire that killed nine cats in Orlando.
Firefighters were able to rescue two other cats early Saturday morning. They were treated for smoke inhalation.
Officials say a smoke detector alerted the homeowner -- who lived with the eleven cats -- to the fire. The homeowner was able to escape uninjured.
The state fire marshal is investigating. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
