Fire rescue crews found two dogs in an abandoned mobile home fire in suburban West Palm Beach on Sunday morning, said Captain Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
ORLANDO, Fla. - ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a house fire that killed nine cats in Orlando.
Firefighters were able to rescue two other cats early Saturday morning. They were treated for smoke inhalation.
Officials say a smoke detector alerted the homeowner -- who lived with the eleven cats -- to the fire. The homeowner was able to escape uninjured.
The state fire marshal is investigating. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
