LUTZ, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say two personal watercrafts collided on a Tampa Bay-area lake, killing one man.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the two watercrafts collided around 3 a.m. Saturday on Lake Hobbs in Hillsborough County.
Authorities say the sheriff's dive team recovered the body of 30-year-old Ryan Burke of Lutz.
Wildlife conservation commission spokesman George Well says a woman also was injured in the collision. She has been hospitalized.
Wells says neither Burke nor the woman was wearing a life jacket.
The state agency says Florida requires everyone on a personal watercraft to wear a life jacket.
State law also prohibits using personal watercrafts at between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise.
