WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a weekend beating that left a West Palm Beach man in critical condition.

Kyle Ramey, 23, stood in front of a judge Wednesday morning, accused of punching a man in the face, leaving him unconscious on Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach.

Ramey received the same bond as his co-defendant: $15,000 plus house arrest.

According to court documents, surveillance video from a nearby jewelry store shows Ramey punching Jacob Robl, 27,  in the face, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious.

"We look forward to being able to show the entire context of this allegation and we're confident that in court and that a full presentation will indicate Kyle was justified in his acts," said Defense Attorney David Olson.

Robl has been in a coma at St. Mary's Medical Center.

A hospital spokesperson Wednesday said he remains in critical condition.
