Mark Zuckerberg's sister seems to be confused with the site's new privacy settings.

Randi Zuckerberg, former marketing director for Facebook, posted a photo of her family reacting to the site's new "poke" application. The 30 year old thought she was sharing the photo with just her friends, not the public. That wasn't the case.

When the photo popped up on Callie Schweitzer's newsfeed, Schweitzer thought it was a public Facebook post and shared it with her 40,000 Twitter followers. Schweitzer subscribes to Zuckerberg, but saw the photo because she is friends with another Zuckerberg who is tagged in the photo.

After the family photo went public, Randi Zuckerberg sent out a tweet complaining about the post. "Not sure where you got this photo. I posted it only to friends on FB. You reposting it on Twitter is way uncool," said Randi Zuckerberg's tweet.

Schweitzer then apologized saying, "just your subscriber and this was top of my newsfeed. Genuinely sorry but it came up in my feed and seemed public."

Zuckerberg responded,"I think you saw it because you're friends with my sister. Thx for apology. I'm just sensitive to private photos becoming 'news." Those tweets have since been deleted.

Facebook's poke app, which was released Friday, lets you send a photo, video or text message to Facebook friends and then they vanish after a few seconds. Read more about the poke app here .
