PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Smartphones are allowed in the gates of The Honda Classic -- of course, you should make sure they are on silent! And this year, fans and golfers have many tools available at their fingertips to find their way around the event.

For starters, people can download the "PGA National" app for both iPhone and Android devices. The "Live Leaderboard" feature is one of several on PGA's app that will come in handy during The Honda Classic.

Fans can also follow @TheHondaClassic on Twitter for updates on tee times, the best spots to watch and more.

The Honda Classic Twitter account has been up and running for about three years and just cracked the 5,000 follower mark. Tweets aren't about the Birdies and Bogies, they are about getting people more engaged in special activities during the classic, said Bill Decker, Director of Marketing for The Honda Classic.
