PALM BEACH, Fla. - Like people, more and more pets are joining the virtual world.
They're signing their animals up for "Dogbook" and "Catbook", which are applications available through Facebook, just for pet lovers.
Faith Pechter has been on "Dogbook" for 5 years. Or, we should say, Pechter's dogs "Scooter" and "Chloe" have been members of the site.
"It's just for all those dog lovers out there for people who are absolutely obsessed with their dog," said Pechter.
Just like humans, animals (or their owners) can post pictures and send messages, become friends with your friends' dogs. And if you allow them to date, these digital dogs can even be in a relationship.
There's even a "Dogbook" app for iPhone.
So, while almost everyone is on Facebook, now, their pets are too.
"They give us so much love, they're like our kids. Especially if you don't have kids."
Will you sign your dog up for the site? Do you think it's going a little too far? Leave your comments below.
